President Nominee, Attie Fitzpatrick.Attie Fitzpatrick was previously a member/psat president of the Rotary Club of Hinckley Ambion and transferred to Lutterworth Wycliffe around five years ago. He is a retired bank manager and is married to Shirley. This is Attie's second venture into management of a Rotary Club. He previously served in the club's Community and Vocational Committee and takes an active part in fund raising events and activities of that committee. He is a keen rugby fan, albeit that his aliegance lies with Irish rugby (as you will guess, his name gives away his origins).

His major hobby is trout fishing which he manages around twice a week.

Immediate Past President, Frank Rose

Although the 2007/08 Rotary year started with no nominations for President Nominee, Rotarian Frank Rose stepped forward and volunteered for the position and became President of the Club in his turn for 2009/10. Frank is retired after spending a lifetime working in agricultural pharmaceuticals and, more recently, as a publican. He is married to Anne and, a very keen supporter of Leicester Tigers Rugby Club, can be found out on the terraces at Welford Road at most home games in his red, green and white club shirt.

Being President

In Rotary International, Club Presidents - like all senior Rotarians - serve for just one year in that position. The President Elect automatically becomes President after one year and will normally have served a year prior to that as President Nominee. Other Officers serve between three and five years depending on the position and are then obliged to take a one year sabbatical rest before holding another position.

It is a great honour to be elected to any position within a Rotary Club.

Presidents and Officers receive no salary or, stipend and undertake their duties in the spirit of the Rotary motto which is:
